The Virginia Council of Trout Unlimited has received an offer to support the Virginia Trout Stream Barrier Survey (VTSBS) Program through a challenge donation from Dr. David Jones, a TU lifetime member and recipient of the 2006 Conservation Volunteer Award for bringing the Trout-In-The-Classroom program to Virginia. David and Karen, and their son David and daughter Lauren, will match donations received from individuals and TU chapters up to a total of $5,000. With matching donations, this challenge will generate up to $10,000 to purchase survey equipment, train new volunteers, and reimburse volunteers for their mileage in completing surveys.

 

Interested individuals and chapters may submit their donations to the Virginia Council (or scan QR code below) and will be recognized for their support of the VTSBS program.
